You may love your female Cockapoo and know you will do a responsible job of breeding but you may not have the right dog to breed from. A dog owner that cannot see the flaws in their own dog is nick named as having kennel blindness. In other words, the owner cannot objectively assess the characteristics and flaws of their own dog to determine whether breeding their bitch will improve the breed.

If you want to breed from your Cockapoo you should be looking for a stud dog that eliminates the flaws of your bitch. Some flaws like poor genetic health cannot be compensated for and you should make the decision not to continue.
