If you are considering getting a Cockapoo, he will need to match your expectation of how you will be spending your time together.
For example, the standard and miniature size are very much outdoor dogs bursting with energy and excitement to get out there and play. Whereas, the Toy and Teacup size are bred to be lap dogs and, although they still want and need exercise, they are content with apartment-style living.
There Is No Standard Breed Size

A litter may result in small miniature Cockapoos or large miniature Cockapoos. Remember Spaniels come in a large and small size as well as the three Poodle sizes of Standard, Miniature and Toy.
How Big Will My Cockapoo Grow?
- Standard or Maxi Cockapoos are up to 15 -18 inches to the shoulder and weigh up to 19 lbs
- Miniature Cockapoos stand between 11-14 inches and fall in a range of 13-18 lbs
- Toy Cockapoos still have a sturdy build and are 9- 10 inches and weigh up to 12 lbs.
- Teacup Cockapoos are less than 10 inches and average less than 6 lbs.
Size has always been a big factor in a person’s choice of a dog. The Cockapoo offers a lot choice for a person interested in getting a small to medium size dog.
