Are Cockapoos hypoallergenic?

The Hypoallergenic Myth

One of the first facts people come out with about Cockapoos is, they are hypoallergenic!  It has become something of a self-perpetuating myth. And it isn’t true.

People who suffer from allergies and want a dog, sensibly research dog breeds that shed less than other breeds.  The key phrase here is shed less.

Cockapoos, because of the Poodle parent, do shed less than most dogs. And that is a reason Poodles are a popular dog to breed (also because of their intelligence).

But adverts that proclaim the virtue of Cockapoos, as “suitable for people with allergies” are making a false statement.

are cockapoos hypoallergenic
Sorry if I make you sneeze?

Why it’s a ridiculous statement to make

There are a number of reasons its wrong for breeders to advertise the hypoallergenic myth.

  • Due to the variations in a Cockapoo coat, it’s hard to predict what sort of coat the puppy will grow into.
  • There are considerable variations of coat type within every litter
  • The coat will vary dependant on whether the pup is a first cross (F1) or second or third cross (F2-3)
  • A Cockapoo may not shed much (like a Poodle), or he may shed more like a Cocker.

Don’t be fooled by a Cockapoo puppy. Little puppies don’t shed, but when their adult coat comes in it may well provoke an allergic reaction.

Allergy testing

There is a series of allergens (other than a Cockapoo’s coat) that can set off someone’s allergies. Dander (scales of dead skin), saliva and urine can easily trigger a reaction.

If you are prone to allergies and really want a dog, this is the best advice for you to follow:

  • Do choose a breed with a Poodle or Schnauzer Parent as they are low shedders and come in three sizes all the way down to miniature. The smaller the dog = less hair to shed.
  • Contact someone that has the breed you’re interested in and ask if you can visit or borrow the dog for a few hours. Make sure that is the only pet around, so you’re sure no other pets are triggering a reaction.

Remember that allergy testing with puppies is pointless because puppies don’t shed hair.

If you have a preference for a particular coat type, fleece for example, spend time with a Cockapoo with that coat type. A Wavy or Flat Coat Cockapoo will shed more as they are closer genetically to the Cocker Spaniel. So, find a friend or breeder who can give you exposure to that coat type.

Once you’re with the dog

When you meet the dog, he will probably want to greet you so give him a good stroke and let him lick your hands. It’s important you let him lick your bare skin to see if you have a reaction to the saliva. Bring your licked hand up and touch your cheeks.

And remember to take your allergy medicine with you in case you do have a reaction.

Only after 24 hours of having no symptoms can you consider yourself okay as having no reaction.

TIPS

  • If you are prone to allergies I recommend having your Cockapoo groomed away from your home to avoid hair and allergens circulating.
  • The fleece style Cockapoo Coat should ideally be clipped short to prevent carrying allergens on the coat put there from licking.
  • Once allergy season kicks in, bathe your Cockapoo frequently to get rid of pollen and other allergens from the coat.
  • There are wet-wipes available designed to remove allergens from the coat between bath times.

Do take the time to allergy check yourself and your family for the dog breed and Coat type you are interested in. There’s nothing worse than giving a dog a home then having to give him up because of an allergic reaction. It is avoidable.

If you do react to a dog’s saliva or urine, you probably won’t ever find a suitable dog.

Champagne Cockapoo

Celebrating The Champagne Cockapoo

The Champagne Cockapoo should be celebrated as it’s such a stunning colour and is becoming more popular.

The term ‘Champagne Cockapoo’ is slowly replacing the word ‘blonde’ to describe this lovely colour. It’s almost like cream but  different and distinctive in the secondary colours that compliment the lush, vivacious coat. Champagne Cockapoos are lighter in colour and this feature is set off beautifully with a darker muzzle and darker brown soft ears. They can also have a brown or black nose.

Some of the really light Champagne colours have striking blue eyes and brown nose which makes them even more adorable!

Cockapoo Full Grown

Cockapoo full grown

When is a cockapoo full grown?

As I discussed on my sizes page, there is not a definitive answer to when a Cockapoo will be full grown. This is because the smaller the dog, the less skeletal development is needed to reach optimum size. As there are four sizes: Standard, Miniature and Toy & Teacup Cockapoo, in theory, the Standard or Maxi Cockapoo will take the longest to reach full maturity.

But when considering a Cockapoo or any dog breed, rightly people think; how big is this animal going to be when it’s fully grown?

A full grown ‘Standard’ Cockapoo can grow as large as 18 inches from pad to shoulder.

cockapoo full grown
Miniature Cockapoos don’t grow much after 6 months

When does a Cockapoo reach full size?

Small dogs reach the full grown size more quickly than large dogs. The miniature Cockapoo at six months is probably not going to grow any bigger. A standard Cockapoo bred from a Standard size Poodle parent will probably see their full growth at about 9 months.

Cockapoo full grown
be careful what puppy food you choose

Does the colour make any difference?

It may sound like a silly questions, but many people wonder if black Cockapoos grow bigger than crème Cockapoos. But it’s not true. Cockapoos of all colours grow at the same rate and reach maturity at the same age. Their final weight and height will depend on a number of factors like:

  • A well reared and nourished dam
  • The size of the Cocker Parent
  • Nutrition and diet from puppy into adolescence

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXL5YHlu8hY[/embedyt]

What weight is a Cockapoo when full grown?

A healthy, lean, Standard Cockapoo can weigh up to 19lbs if achieving 18inches in height.

Fully grown Miniature Cockapoos weigh anywhere between 13-18 lbs depending on the size of the parents and Toy or Toy-Teacup Cockapoos can still weigh up to 12 lbs.

For quick reference consult this chart.

Teacup Cockapoo

The Teacup Cockapoo

The Teacup Cockapoo is absolutely a designer dog. The breed is achieved by pairing a very miniature Poodle with a small Cocker Spaniel.

Teacup Cockapoo
Yes, they can fit inside a teacup!

It’s rare because its hard to achieve from a breeding perspective. Responsible breeders will not try and breed dogs of two different sizes. In general terms I mean breeding a small dog with a medium dog. Or God forbid, a large dog with a small dog. Their respective skeletal structures are different and it can lead to all kinds of health problems.

However, small miniatures are more commonly bred together from a second cross (F2). The smaller dog from the litter is sometimes called the runt, (although this is some thing of a misnomer) because  in reality there usually is a smallest of the litter. But that doesn’t make the smallest weak or unhealthy.

It is true that small dogs generally live longer than large dogs and as long as the smallest is reared with right nutrition it will from to be as healthy as any other dog.

Teacup Cockapoo Sizes

When searching for a Teacup Poo, you will often come across adverts for ‘Teacup Toy Cockapoo’ as there is not that much difference in size. And as I said in my Cockapoo Sizes page, there is quite a bit of variance between defined categories, so a large Teacup is pretty much the same as a small Toy Cockapoo.

Lets remind ourselves of size and weight:

Teacup Cockapoos stand under 10 inches / 25.4 cm and average less than 6 lbs. / 2.72 kg.

Teacup Cockapoo Full Grow

Because this size Cockapoo is a small dog their growth is complete at about 9-12months.  You are probably looking at a dog on average 8 inches tall from paw to shoulder.  This is the perfect size for those living in a flat or apartment and not wanting their living environment to overwhelmed by ‘dog’ smell and dander.

Cockapoo Sizes 2025: The Smart Guide To Ensure You Buy The Right Size Cockapoo

Toy Cockapoo

What Cockapoo Size Suits Your Lifestyle?

Unlike some dogs, particularly pure breeds, Cockapoo’s come in varying sizes. There were four sizes, but in recent years breeders have pioneered a fifth size.

Two of those sizes (the standard and miniature) are very popular while (the teacup) is rarely seen in the UK, but is popular in parts of the USA. Whether you’re drawn to the toy-sized bundle of joy that fits snugly in your lap or the larger version that’s bursting with playful energy, knowing the size from puppy to adulthood will help you make an informed decision. In our comprehensive guide, we’ll look at the different Cockapoo sizes, their exercise needs and therefore what they mean for your lifestyle, and how to choose the perfect Cockapoo size for your family.

The Toy and Teacup size are bred to be lap dogs and, although they still want and need exercise, they are content with apartment-style living.

  • Standard or Maxi Cockapoos are up to 15 -18 inches to the shoulder and weigh up to 19 lbs

There Is No Standard Cockapoo  Size Breed

Pure breed dogs are bred to a standard which results in a predictable size, but this isn’t the case with mixed breed dogs.

A litter may result in small miniature Cockapoos or large miniature Cockapoos. Remember Spaniels come in a large and small size as well as the three Poodle sizes of Standard, Miniature and Toy. By breeding a large cocker spaniel with a large standard poodle, the standard plus size has been given it’s own category.

Common Myths About Cockapoo Sizes Debunked

There are several myths and misconceptions surrounding Cockapoo sizes that can lead to confusion for potential owners. Debunking these myths is essential for making informed decisions and understanding what to expect from each size category.

One common myth is that smaller Cockapoos are less intelligent or trainable than their larger counterparts. The reality is, intelligence and trainability are more influenced by the individual dog’s genetics and training methods rather than their size. Toy Cockapoos can be just as smart and responsive as standard or miniature Cockapoos if properly trained and stimulated.

Another misconception is that larger Cockapoos are more aggressive or difficult to handle. While standard Cockapoos may exhibit more assertive behaviour, this does not equate to aggression. Proper socialisation and training can help any Cockapoo, regardless of size, develop a well-balanced and friendly temperament. It’s important to address behavioural issues early to ensure a harmonious relationship.

Many believe that smaller Cockapoos are easier to care for and require less maintenance. While toy Cockapoos may need less physical exercise, they have their own specific health and care needs that can be just as demanding. Regular vet visits, dental care, and a safe environment are crucial for toy Cockapoos, highlighting that all sizes have their unique care requirements.

Other Considerations When Searching Cockapoo For Sale

credit: Clare Andrusyk

With Cockapoo Puppies being in such a high demand, you may be contacting more than breeder as waiting lists are full.

Below are 8 things to discuss with the breeder you get in touch with. Do you home work and watch out for breeders that are cutting corners and do not have the dogs welfare paramount.

Avoidance Tactics:

Breeders that avoid questions regarding their dams, sires and their puppies. Breeders should be transparent! You should prepare a list and ask them LOTS of questions. If any of these questions cannot be answered suitably you should be hesitant in purchasing a puppy. In turn a good breeder will have a questionnaire to ask potential new owners, they require telephone calls and details of your lifestyle. This shows genuine care and welfare of the puppy.
Ask to see original health test papers from at least one parent and double check the names of the dogs specified to the breeders name and address.

Vet Care

Beware of Breeders that do not have health testing and that have not had their litter health checked by a qualified vet. Breeders are supplied with written confirmation from vets that they have had vital checks completed and the status of their findings. Health checks can be completed anywhere before the date they leave for their new homes. Pups should all be micro-chipped and registered to the breeder by law before they leave for new homes. Ensure you receive their microchip number records when you pick up your puppy.

Commercial Breeders

These are breeders that use their dogs only for the purpose of breeding. They have a horrendous practice of selling their breeding dogs on once they are of no use. They do not care for the dog as a pet, its only use is to sadly make money from. They come in the form of a hugely fancy website, selling tons litters throughout the year, puppies to order and unfortunately some of them are even council registered.

Marketing

All good Breeders should be transparent to a degree. Fancy marketing does not necessarily mean a great healthy, home reared puppy. Look beyond the photos of a pup playing on a kitchen floor, ask to see videos of them playing or nursing from their mother. Look for photos of their whelping area. Tell tale signs of a kennel breeder are concrete garage walls, wooden kennels in photos. Tell tale signs of a Puppy farmer is usually photos of pups that are being copied from the Internet, they probably wont be the pup that you wanted…

Good breeders will have tons of puppy photos from birth onwards

Free Shipping

You must be able to see the puppy reared in its home environment and be able to see the parents. Breeders who offer free shipping without physically meeting the potential new owners first is a red flag. Breeders like these do not care whom their puppies are going to and if so it’s most likely that they do not care about their health either…

Knowledge of the Breed

All good breeders should be very knowledgeable of their breed. They should know specifics surrounding the health, temperament, traits and why they specifically choose to breed. Do your research first, join Cockapoo groups and ask questions to our breeders/follow posts/read up as much as possible to prepare.

Facilities

The breeder doesn’t want to show you where the pups are reared and/or wants to meet you in a public location. This is a strong indication that this breeder is a puppy farmer or that the dog’s living conditions are poor. For a great, socialised puppy chose one that has been reared inside in a family home environment throughout the full duration of their upbringing.

Meet the Parents

You must be able to physically meet the mum of the pups. Look for signs that she is interacting directly with her pups. Puppies swamp their mother which is overwhelming for them however do not let this be an excuse that you cannot physically see them together. Not being able to see the mum of the pups is a strong indicator that the breeders are in fact Puppy Farmers.

Ask for details of the Sire, ask to see pictures, how much vetting did the breeder do to ensure the pups father is of good health? Can you see the Sire? Can you contact the owner of the Sire?

Buyer Beware

More than one third of people admit they are clueless about where to find a good breeder with the majority starting with an internet search.

Cockapoo Puppy Training Programme: Exercise

Build up his exercise slowly

A Cockapoo puppy, like all puppies are a bundle of energy and most new owners want to get them out the house as a release. However, it’s a common mistake to exercise your new puppy too much too soon.

The following recommendations are based on a Standard or Maxi size Cockapoo and the larger of the miniature size that often grow to be 15 inches high.

cockapoo training tips for first time owners
Until your Cockapoo learns the ‘recall’ keep him on the leash

Cockapoos like many breeds are prone to hip dysplasia and over exercise before their skeleton is fully formed can have long term health consequences. But the correct amount of exercise is also needed to start a long healthy life.

My other assumption in giving the advice below is that you have selected a puppy who has been breed responsibly from parents have been screened and have excellent hip and elbow scores.

8 to 16 Weeks

If the puppy is still with mum, the maternal instinct will be for the mother to stop the little Cockapoo going too far. Playing in the house and garden is recommended as it provides a safe environment and provides plenty of opportunity to explore and get used to their balance.

Start practising on the lead at about 16 weeks, by picking him up and letting him walk a short distance back to your house. Walking on the lead is one of the best training exercising you can do with your dog. It will keep him safe while on the road and also allow you to enjoy your walks together.

Only when he is fully vaccinated can he go on short walks to teach him how to walk be-side-you on the lead. If you haven’t already practised some positive rewards base training, walking on the lead is the time to start.

Remember, it’s important you do not let him off the lead until he learns the recall.

4 to 9 Months Old

This is when it gets more fun. You can start bringing a ball with you on your walks for a few short retrieves. I would recommend you use the longer training leash when you start this because you Cockapoo is likely to be distracted and run off.

At this age, keep walks and park-play short. Sleeps are equally as important at this young age. After some mad activity, it’s important you allow your puppy to crash out and sleep as soon as he gets home.

The 4-9 months period is also the time when you build up his play/exercise time. Why not keep a diary so you can know with certainty that you’re scaling up his exercise time correctly from short walks to medium walks. Look for sign of tiredness and if your puppy exhibits those signs pick him up and pop him back in the car or carry him home.

9 to 18 Months Old

By one year, you can start to build to proper long walks, and full retrieve-style play-time in the park. But still be careful not to over exercise. Although his adult skeleton may nearly be grown, his joints still need to develop without strain.

The Standard Cockapoo, particularly of the working variety really craves exercise so putting the brakes on them is essential.

As the owner, if you’re conscious of your exercise plan, you will have an intuition about when to rein him in. By 15 months even the largest Standard size Cockapoo should be fully developed. At that point you have protected his skeletal growth and you can run him to his heart’s content.

cockapoo training books
Cockapoo meet-ups are a great way to exercise when your dog is fully grown

Summary

Being conscious of the need to have a puppy exercise regime is essential, even if you don’t mark out the three periods above and have a written plan.

If you don’t implement any strategy to protect his development growth, sky-high veterinary bills and pain and suffering for your Cockapoo puppy will certainly follow.

The most high risk scenario is an overweight over exercised puppy.

The bad news at 18 months is you’ve lost your puppy. But the good news is if you’ve followed sensible exercise regime and you have a lovely, healthy adult Cockapoo.

Cockapoo Toilet Training: House Training In 7 Simple Steps

Toilet Training A Cockapoo Puppy

…or newly adopted Cockapoo can seem daunting and often is frustrating.

The good news is, many puppies and Cockapoos can be housetrained in around two weeks, as long as the owner has the discipline to stick with a good, positive toilet training programme.

cockapoo potty training
Patience and kindness pays dividends

I’ve summarised the most important points below:

  1. Give him as many opportunities you can manage for him to get it right. It really is that simple! The more times he is rewarded for going to the toilet in the right place, the quicker he will learn.
  2. It’s equally important that you must never punish any mistakes that he makes during this learning time. If he thinks you are going to punish him then you’ll only confuse and worry him and the training will take much longer.
  3. Find a place you can keep your Cockapoo where it’s okay for ‘accidents’ to happen – but this is only for brief times when you cannot supervise him during training. For example, an indoor kennel or crate or an area penned off in the kitchen (baby gates work well). It has to be a relatively small area, which will discourage him from going to the toilet there. Place his bedding and water in his safe area and also use this space to feed him in. (Please note: if a Cockapoo or puppy is shut in an indoor kennel or pen for long periods of time, this can become a serious welfare issue and is not something that we recommend.)
  4. First thing in the morning, take your Cockapoo outside, stand with him and wait for him to go to the toilet. When he ‘goes’, give him lots of praise as he finishes (being careful not to interrupt what he is doing) and give him a treat. He should need a wee and a poo, so wait for him to do both.
  5. When he has gone to the toilet, you can take him back inside and have a play or cuddle. Let him have full access to the room that you are in – but only as long as you can give him your full attention and watch him – otherwise return him to his safe area.
  6. Take your Cockapoo out every hour on the hour from morning to last thing at night, to give him the opportunity to go to the toilet. You will also need to do this after exercise or play and after meals.
  7. When he goes, praise and reward him with a favourite treat (and write down the time of day that he went and what he did). If you keep a note of this every day, you will find that a pattern of when he goes takes shape. You can then use this to predict when he’ll need to go to the toilet. After about a week you shouldn’t have to take him out as often as every hour.

TIP: There will be times you can’t watch him, so place him in his safe area with a chew toy. It’s kinder to put him in his den area when you cannot watch him, than him sense your disappointment if he toilets in the wrong place.

When ‘accidents’ happen

There will be accidents. You must be prepared for this.

Remember Humans take at best three or four years to get this right; dogs take only two or three weeks!

It’s important to clean up any spray or odour left by accidents.  Try cleaning the area with a one part non-biological washing powder / four parts water, or a branded product. This will take away any smells and stains. Make sure you do not use cleaning products that contain ammonia, as this smells like urine to Cockapoos, and will encourage him to use the same spot again and again.

Don’t make a fuss – your Cockapoo has not done it on purpose. If he is still going in the wrong place, then it may be because you are not watching him carefully enough. If you can’t watch him, he should be in his safe area. It’s not fair to keep letting him get it wrong.

Calmly place him in his den, whilst you clear up the mess (well enough it doesn’t become a sniffing place), then let your Cockapoo come back out and it’s all forgotten.

Don’t make this housetraining mistake

If you tell your Cockapoo off when he has accidents you will only cause him to worry and be afraid to toilet anywhere near you. It’s a common training issue that he may accidently learn to go inside but out of sight, in order to avoid the owner’s telling-off he is expecting.

This behaviour can spiral as it makes it harder for you to praise and reward him for toileting correctly, in the right places, because he won’t want to do his business in front of you anymore.

Toilet Training a Cockapoo Puppy

Some puppies may be too young to hold on for too long, as their bladders may be too small to cope. If this is the case, then you will need to take him out more often until he is a little older.

If your Cockapoo poo has diarrhoea or soft, runny poo and needs to go very often, then you may need to change his food, so it becomes more solid. Ask your vet for advice about this. Infact, if toilet training problems aren’t resolved in a few months, ask your vet to check your Cockapoo hasn’t got a medical condition that is behind the accidents.

Remember, some young puppies find it very daunting to toilet outdoors. They have developed a preference for, certain types of indoor surfaces during early accidental socialisation with their early environment.

Summary

  • Make it easy for him. Make the effort to take him outside as often as you possibly can to give him the greatest opportunity to toilet in the correct place.
  • Don’t leave him unattended for too long because he will pee when he sees you in excitement.
By rewarding your Cockapoo at the right time and ignoring mistakes, your Cockapoo will soon get the idea and be ‘accident’ free in no time at all.
  • If you put him in his indoor den or in your bedroom overnight, he’ll let you know when he needs to go out and this will help speed up the process.
  • Find a friend – having a fully vaccinated, friendly older Cockapoo to visit and ‘show him the way’ can be very helpful and speed up the process.

Good Luck!

Grooming and health

Cockapoo Grooming and health

It’s important to have a grooming regime to keep any dog healthy, particularly those with thicker or longer fur.

Grooming is not just about trimming the fur, it’s also about ensuring the eyes are not obscured, the nails are not too long and the ears are looked after.

Grooming/brushing sessions are also an excellent opportunity to examine your dog’s skin for any growths, lumps, bumps or wounds and to have a good look at his ears, eyes and mouth.

Build into your dog’s grooming regime a pattern of small treats and praise so he or she feels content. This should be the case whether you or a paid groomer carries out the work

cockapoo grooming

Ears

Attention will also have to be paid to inside the ear canal as, like Poodles, some Cockapoos grow excess hair inside the ear that will trap ear wax. “Pluck-it” or “Thornit” canker powder can be used to help grip these hairs which need to be plucked out of the ears either with yours or your groomer’s fingers.

Vigilant prevention is the hallmark of good healthcare for all companion animals. Watch for any discharge from the eyes or ears, as well as evidence of accumulated debris in the ear canal accompanied by a foul or yeasty odor. (This is a sign of parasitical mite activity.)

Thoroughly rinse your dog’s coat with clean fresh water to remove all residues. Towel your pet dry and make sure he doesn’t get cold.

Anal Glands

All dogs can suffer from blocked anal glands, typically indicated by the dog rubbing its bottom on the ground or carpet. (You may also notice an odour.)   If this occurs, the glands will need to be expressed to prevent an abscess from forming. This is a sensitive task and one that a veterinarian or a highly experienced groomer should perform.

Fleas

I’m including fleas and ticks under grooming because both are typically discovered by and addressed through grooming sessions. Don’t think that if your Cockapoo suddenly has “passengers” you’re doing something wrong, or that the dog is at fault. This is simply part of dog ownership for you to deal with. Sooner or later, it will happen.

Of course the problem needs to be dealt with immediately, but it’s not a reason to freak out.

Do NOT use a commercial flea product on a puppy of less than 12 weeks of age and be extremely careful with adult dogs.

Most of the major products contain pyrethrum. This chemical has been responsible for adverse reactions, including long-term neurological damage and even fatalities in small dogs.

To get rid of fleas, bathe your dog in warm water with a standard canine shampoo. Comb the animal’s fur with a fine-toothed flea comb, which will trap the live parasites. Repeatedly submerge the comb in hot soapy water to kill the fleas.

Wash all of the dog’s bedding and any soft materials with which he has come in contact. Look for any accumulations of “flea dirt,” which is excreted blood from adult fleas. Wash the bedding and other surfaces daily for at least a week to kill any remaining eggs before they hatch.

If you find a tick, coat it with a thick layer of petroleum jelly for 5 minutes to suffocate the parasite which causes its jaws to release.

Pluck the tick off with a pair of tweezers using a straight motion.   Never just jerk a tick off a dog. The parasite’s head will be left behind and will continue to burrow into the skin, making a painful sore.

TIP: If you bath your dog at home in between clippings, do not get your pet’s head and ears wet. Clean the dog’s head and face with a warm, wet washcloth only.

Why Are Mini Cockapoo Dogs So Popular?

The Miniature Cockapoo is the most popular size of the Cockapoo breed. More searches are made for this size than the Teacup, Toy or Standard Cockapoo.

The Miniature Cockapoo is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle (usually a Toy Poodle). This means they tend to be smaller than a Standard Cockapoo, around 11-14 inches tall and weighing between 13-18 lbs. Cockapoos have a reliable reputation for being a affectionate and friendly family pet, making them one of the most popular dogs in the UK now accounting for 6.2% of the total dog population.  (source Royal Veterinary College).

Should I Get a F1 or F2 Miniature Cockapoo Puppy?

Some people are naturally attracted to searching for a F1 puppy. But does it make any difference?  Probably not that much. The breeder will tell you they have more ‘hybrid vigour’ meaning they are more genetically pure. The second cross (F2) are generally a little cheaper and every bit as adorable.

Miniature Cockapoo Price

How much should you be paying for a mini Cockapoo is 2025?

Pets4homes is now the largest website listing and their prices range between £700-£2,000.

Cockapoo Owners, a listing site that specialises in Cockapoo Puppies is advertising a mixture of licensed and amateur breeders with prices ranging from £795-£1895.

Breeders with a good reputation often charge more but prices vary depending on factors such as over supply. After Corona virus there was a over supply of puppies and the bottom fell out of the market causes prices to drop dramatically.

Who Is The Ideal Miniature Cockapoo Owner?

The miniature poo is ideal for those people who maybe have a smaller living environment and want a less time intensive dog. The smaller size also comes with less grooming needs and less exercise requirements. Although all dogs need and love exercise, smaller dogs are easier as they just don’t need as much compared to the maxi or standard size Cockapoo.

Mini cockapoos still love exercise and are very agile

They are certainly more of a lap dog than the large Cockapoos and perhaps just a smidgen more cute!
