Common Myths About Cockapoo Sizes Debunked

There are several myths and misconceptions surrounding Cockapoo sizes that can lead to confusion for potential owners. Debunking these myths is essential for making informed decisions and understanding what to expect from each size category.

One piece of disinformation out there is that smaller Cockapoos are less intelligent or trainable than their larger counterparts (complete rubbish!). The reality is, intelligence and trainability are more influenced by the individual dog’s genetics and training methods rather than their size. Toy Cockapoos are receptive to training just like Standard and Miniature Cockapoos if the owner bothers to do the training correctly.

This one comes up when buying Pet insurance so I thought i’d cover it. A Cockapoo is classed as a medium sized dog. Even the largest variety of Standard Size Poodle crossed with a English Cocker Spaniel will produce a medium size dog not measuring higher than 18 inches at the shoulder.
