  2. Over the last 40 years my wife and I have had 4 dogs. Two standard poodles from breeders, both of which were not very well and died at an early age. We then had two mutts. one from the local police station and the other from Sunnyside kennels. Both of them were wonderful pets. We have had a break from owning any pets for a few years but now feel the time is right to have another dog. We don’t want a puppy, but we would rather have one that is between 1 and 3 years old. We like the cockapoos but we have had a bad experience with the breeder when we had the two standard poodles. Can you tell me the best way that we could adopt a cockapoo. We are now both retired, reasonably active and have a large garden. We could give one a good life with a lot of love.

  7. Hello, would anyone know of a cockatoo to adopt. My mother has just had to have her much beloved boy put to sleep and is lost to pieces with out him. As she said ‘he gave me a reason to live and be motivated’. Mum is elderly but amazingly good for her age and would go out for at least three small walks a day. We would prefer a slightly older one who has calmed down and isn’t so full of beans. A lovely home is waiting
